Batanes Police Provincial Office, Basco, Batanes – PCOL ISMAEL P ATLUNA, Provincial Director, spearheaded the Simultaneous Kick-of Ceremony of National Women Month Celebration together with all the WPS and lady NUP’s of this PPO and was graced with our Guest of Honor and Speaker Mrs. Lynette G Calagui, Development Management Officer IV- Department of Health (DOH) on March 1, 2021, at 8:00 AM at Batanes Police Provincial Office, Basco, Batanes.
“Many of us have gone through different types of hardships, but it is through these challenges that we are shaped and enhanced, we are our own version of women empowerment. Let us encourage everyone to teach our young daughters to live and speak without fear, to be confident and assertive in the name of truth, kind and nurturing, and to be comfortable in their own skin and independence. Let us help these future leaders and innovators find and develop the power and strength they inherently have”, quoted by Ms. Lynette G. Calagui.
The ceremony was also highlighted by awarding of Certificate of Recognition to PSMS Nedelina G Ebalin, MESPO/WCPD, Ivana Municipal Police Station and NUP Jackilyn V Nanud of Basco Municipal Police Station for the recognition of their exemplary performance through good deeds. Further, recognizes the contribution of women power to the organization.
March was designated as the “Women’s Role in History Month” under the 1988 Proclamation of Resolution Number 20. It highlights women’s historical contributions to the growth and strength of the nation.
PLT BALLADA had lined up activities and programs promoting the celebration such as first Friday Mass, Motorcade, Tree Planting, Gift Giving and conduct of Lectures to the women sectors.
