Conduct of C.A.R.E Infodemic Drive

On January 30, 2021 at 5:00PM, personnel led by PLT EUSEBIO P CASTILLO, Officer-In-Charge of Uyugan Police Station, Batanes Police Provincial Office conducted Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (C.A.R.E) infodemic drive attended by Barangay Officials, BPAT members and members from Local Council for Women of said barangay headed by Hon. Annaliza Balderas, Brgy. Chairman of Barangay Kayuganan, Uyugan, Batanes. Further, said team distributed BIDA Solusyon flyers to all attendees. This activity aims to curb and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, promote health precautionary measure, maximize information dissemination to ensure that the community gets the most reliable, timely, and accurate information they need to face the current global health crisis.

Launching of “Adopt a Barangay” Program

On January 12, 2021, Batanes PPO headed by PCOL ISMAEL P ATLUNA, Provincial Director through its six Municipal Police Station launched the Adopt-a-Barangay in collaboration with the Barangay Officials and with active participation of different sectors of each Barangay. The Adopt-A-Barangay

program is formulated purposely for a service-oriented police community affairs and development activities and in rendering the duties and responsibilities of the Philippine National Police (PNP) members in the province of Batanes.

This aims to renew the partnership between the PNP and the community in the area in all matters pertaining to peace and order concerns.The highlights of this program were the week long community engagement of personnel of the six Municipal Police Stations of this unit such as the following activities;

free livelihood training, lecture, Free Electrical Services, providing assistance, food Marketing, product processing, Gift giving, Gulayan sa Barangay and Bayanihan (YARU) to all sectors of barangay
